Desiderio Perutxo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panos Drambas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Nektarios Savourogiannis hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes of play, Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Manuel Ramis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Panos Drambas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tiago Candela hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Pavlos Kastanopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Joey Molina when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute Pavlos Kastanopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavlos Kastanopouloss short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Joey Molina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The ERGOTELIS fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when ERGOTELIS's Pavlos Kastanopoulos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Desiderio Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desiderio Perutxo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alkaios Mavrofidis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joey Molina. That made the score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. When ERGOTELIS's Pavlos Kastanopoulos in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orihuela Club de Fútbol's goalie prevented a goal. Desiderio Perutxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Panos Drambas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Desiderio Perutxo made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Theofilos Voutsas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Tiago Candela quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Panos Drambas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Perutxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Pavlos Kastanopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joey Molina was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 65th minute Pavlos Kastanopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when Orihuela Club de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romo Briso didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Perutxo in the 70th minute of play forced ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Panos Drambas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panos Drambas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Perutxo in the 74th minute of play. Joey Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menelaos Moutafis in the 76th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Nektarios Savourogiannis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ERGOTELIS and the Orihuela Club de Fútbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ERGOTELIS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Nektarios Savourogiannis hit a great ball. Desiderio Perutxo struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Panos Drambas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orihuela Club de Fútbol. A collision led to Orihuela Club de Fútbol getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Romo Briso hit a great ball. Alkaios Mavrofidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Joey Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavlos Kastanopoulos in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, ERGOTELIS's Pavlos Kastanopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joey Molina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
