Desiderio Perutxo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Joey Molina came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by ERGOTELIS's Alkaios Mavrofidis. But to his dismay, Alkaios Mavrofidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Panos Drambas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Perutxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Perutxo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Panos Drambas came out and tried to block the shot, but Desiderio Perutxo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 26th minute. Joey Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alkaios Mavrofidis in the 34th minute of play. The ERGOTELIS fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when ERGOTELIS's Pavlos Kastanopoulos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Manuel Ramis got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Desiderio Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 3-4 lead.

The wind increased when Pavlos Kastanopoulos made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Giorgos Tsagaropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. ERGOTELIS's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Tsagaropoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joey Molina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pavlos Kastanopouloss short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Joey Molina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joey Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Tsagaropoulos in the 55th minute of play. Desiderio Perutxo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panos Drambas. Panos Drambas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Labarra during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Joey Molina successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Manuel Ramis came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Orihuela Club de Fútbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Ramis couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Herminio Molina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panos Drambas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Perutxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, ERGOTELIS's Menelaos Moutafis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joey Molina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-5. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Joey Molina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Orihuela Club de Fútbol from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the game, Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Manuel Ramis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Panos Drambas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-5. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
