Talenti Roma Calcio's Florian Pinti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Mundo in the 13th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Albano Asteri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NEWELL´S OLD BOYS and the Talenti Roma Calcio players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albano Asteri kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Ermanno Marcolongo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Richie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Talenti Roma Calcio's Concetto Lauri got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ermanno Marcolongo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Richie having to make a save. With a little luck, Talenti Roma Calcio's Florian Pinti got control of the ball when Reynaldo Sabin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Antonio Mundo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Pinti was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ermanno Marcolongo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Apolo Richie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Toli struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Florian Pinti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NEWELL´S OLD BOYS. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

With a little luck, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Apolo Richie got control of the ball when Felice Barbato tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Gabriel Toli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florian Pinti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Asteri to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Ermanno Marcolongo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Richie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Gabriel Toli kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ermanno Marcolongo in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Apolo Richie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's attentive Baltasar Rios managed to snatch the ball when Dave Paoletti made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Felice Barbato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Apolo Richie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Richie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Marcolongo in the 95th minute of play. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Talenti Roma Calcio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
