A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Albano Asteri hit a great ball. Marcos Txeru in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Apolo Richie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 28 minutes into the game, Albano Asteri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF JABATOS the free kick. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Albano Asteri hit a great ball. Marcos Txeru scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Apolo Richie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Dante Quintan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45thth minute of the game Gabriel Toli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CF JABATOS's Guido Karmel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Apolo Richie was a little too slow when Elpidio Efraim got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elpidio Efraim made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Elpidio Efraim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Richie came out of the goal and Elpidio Efraim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Elpidio Efraim put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Apolo Richie. Apolo Richie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Efraim's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After 67 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Albano Asteri. In the 68th minute, Gaston Urritz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Apolo Richie didn't even have to move. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Albano Asteri hit a great ball. Marcos Txeru might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Richie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Txeru ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Efraim came free, but Apolo Richie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Dei made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jairo Formerio immediately put the ball in play. 95 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Gabriel Toli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guido Karmel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that CF JABATOS were the better team. CF JABATOS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
