When Mateo Chan fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ⛥Milrayitas⛤'s protests and gave Mateo Chan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS booed when ⛥Milrayitas⛤ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Chan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Norino got free with Apolo Richie in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Apolo Richie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Damario scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Apolo Richie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 16 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Benito Handi. Reynaldo Sabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Su showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Sabin in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind ⛥Milrayitas⛤'s goalkeeper Emanuel Su, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Apolo Richie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Apolo Richie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Damario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Gabriel Toli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ⛥Milrayitas⛤'s Ivan Norino got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Damario to strike the kick off in the second half. Mateo Chan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Gabriel Toli came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Toli couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Benito Handi. Apolo Richie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Damario, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Apolo Richie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Damario in the 80th minute of play. Ivan Norino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Richie having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Epifanio Estevez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Richie. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Epifanio Estevez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Ivan Norino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Richie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Damario's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Ivan Norino struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Apolo Richie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⛥Milrayitas⛤. The supporters of ⛥Milrayitas⛤ booed when NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Handi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
