An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Tohias in the 8th minute of play forced AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper Emil Lunca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cougars FC's Romeo Pedroso got control of the ball when Costel Saşca tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Guillermo Iratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Saşca came free, but Romeo Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandru Aanicăi got free with Romeo Pedroso in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Guillermo Iratze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cougars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Costel Saşca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Romeo Pedroso made a huge save. Cougars FC's Romeo Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Radovan in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when AFC Nirosxn 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Baniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Guillermo Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Lunca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cougars FC's Romeo Pedroso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Cougars FC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudiu Radovan was the one to do the kick off. Nistor Zamfir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeo Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Radovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Baniu came free, but Romeo Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Tohias hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Claudiu Radovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 67 minutes on the clock, Ernest Radovan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Cougars FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eliseo Remigio hit a great ball. Nistor Zamfir charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nistor Zamfir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AFC Nirosxn 08 getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Romeo Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costel Saşca, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Ivan Baniu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cougars FC's Romeo Pedroso. Romeo Pedroso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 96 minutes, Alexandru Aanicăi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Nirosxn 08 and the Cougars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, AFC Nirosxn 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Aanicăi to maneuver through the defense. Cougars FC's Bonifacio Valerio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 97th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Emil Lunca but with some difficulty.
