When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Sarracino Abad put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ruy Sarmento. Indalecio Abadia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ruy Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruy Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarracino Abad in the 33rd minute of play. Josué Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Mar in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Neil Mar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marzagão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escuadrón Mercenario the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Mar to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Josué Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Iztal Aballe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruy Sarmento. That made the score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. Sarracino Abad who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Ruy Sarmento when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Neil Mar hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Sarracino Abad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy Sarmento. Marzagão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sarracino Abad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 78 minutes into the match, Behe Abastas notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Marzagão's Ruy Sarmento. Ruy Sarmento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sarracino Abad in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Indalecio Abadia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Indalecio Abadia's late challenge caught a Marzagão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Indalecio Abadia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Marzagão booed when Escuadrón Mercenario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Indalecio Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Escuadrón Mercenario's goal looked a bit too open when César Rosa came free, but Josué Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Escuadrón Mercenario had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
