Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernando Prado took the kick off in the first half of the match. S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Blom in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Acácio Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eddie Alebeck came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C.PAULISTA's Acácio Alves. But to his dismay, Acácio Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Kind of Blue's Eddie Alebeck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Kind of Blue from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Botvidsson came free, but Flávio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddie Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute, Freddie Söderlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.C.PAULISTA's Fernando Prado was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Eddie Sandell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Flávio Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Kellman kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Cláudio Leite shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddie Alebeck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Eddie Sandell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Flávio Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 47th minute, Kind of Blue's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Acácio Alves fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eddie Sandell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's Knut Blom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Fantini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Botvidsson in the 55th minute of play forced S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Flávio Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.C.PAULISTA's zone, Eddie Sandell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Fantini came out of the goal and Eddie Sandell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when S.C.PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Söderlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Flávio Fantini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredric Botvidsson. Kind of Blue's Eddie Alebeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Prado in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when S.C.PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, S.C.PAULISTA's Claudinei Godoi got a free kick in the 68th minute. Fredric Botvidsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere. Ralf Klint made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fredric Botvidsson immediately put the ball in play. Flávio Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Sandell in the 78th minute of play. Fredric Botvidsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Flávio Fantini made a huge save.
