The supporters of The Nerd Herd booed when Renegades was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svenning Westin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brage Vetrhuss short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Yoto Boshikyov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Asmund Sjøberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frode Numelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gustav Wenning's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Asmund Sjøberg was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Asmund Sjøberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Benna, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Yoto Boshikyov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brage Vetrhus in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Christian Taksdal. Svenning Westin made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Nerd Herd's Geir-Inge Torstensen. Yoto Boshikyov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brage Vetrhus in the 25th minute. Frode Numelin scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asmund Sjøberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Renegades's goalkeeper Yoto Boshikyov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brage Vetrhus. Asmund Sjøberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Wenning in the 34th minute of the match. Asmund Sjøberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Therkil Kammesgaard in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, The Nerd Herd's Brage Vetrhus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 40th minute, The Nerd Herd's Brage Vetrhus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yoto Boshikyov. Yoto Boshikyov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 43 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's Nils-Christian Taksdal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yoto Boshikyov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brage Vetrhus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Yoto Boshikyov made a huge save. After having played for 48 minutes, Brage Vetrhus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Nerd Herd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brage Vetrhus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brage Vetrhus made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Therkil Kammesgaard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Asmund Sjøberg, 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, Renegades's goal looked a bit too open when Brage Vetrhus came free, but Yoto Boshikyov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to The Nerd Herd getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Martin Holmefjord hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Brage Vetrhus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yoto Boshikyov was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Brage Vetrhus took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yoto Boshikyov. Yoto Boshikyov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Brage Vetrhus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zachary Dudek got free with Asmund Sjøberg in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brage Vetrhus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brage Vetrhus in the 82nd minute of play forced Renegades's goalkeeper Yoto Boshikyov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brage Vetrhus took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yoto Boshikyov. Yoto Boshikyov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Yoto Boshikyov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brage Vetrhus, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute of the match The Nerd Herd got a corner. Renegades's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bård Kjærvik ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on The Nerd Herd's corner Bård Kjærvik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yoto Boshikyov quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Nerd Herd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Renegades had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
