After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Teofilo Serapio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Serapio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Cebo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guaberto Cebo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Teodor in the 23rd minute of play. The corner ended in Severo Rubio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo did a great save. Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Quitilipi from getting a goal against them. In the 30th match minute, Barreal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Teodor to maneuver through the defense. Quitilipi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Severo Rubio scored to the left of an out of position Guaberto Cebo, making the score, 5-0. In the 44thth minute of the game Severo Rubio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Severo Rubios short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Guaberto Cebo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Insúa was the one to do the kick off. Guaberto Cebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Severo Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cebo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Barreal FC's Severo Rubio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Cebo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0.
