After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nicolás Guerrero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid de Guatemala's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolás Guerrero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabin Françoise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, José Broutin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carmelo Sifon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabin Françoise having to make a save. Gabin Françoise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Santamaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Ívan James left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexandrie CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitri Goudard in the 32nd minute of play forced Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Alexandrie CF's Gaël Pouchin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gaël Pouchin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alexandrie CF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gaël Pouchin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 42 minutes into the game, one of Alexandrie CF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Carmelo Sifon made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Real Madrid de Guatemala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Nazario to maneuver through the defense. Gabin Françoise stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Sifon's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Gabin Françoise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Sifon in the 57th minute of play. Cristian Santamaria scored 2-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabin Françoise, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes Real Madrid de Guatemala got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Sifon. John-Paul Atlan kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Carmelo Sifon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabin Françoise saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Santamaria took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabin Françoise. Gabin Françoise dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. When Dimitri Goudard fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alexandrie CF's protests and gave Dimitri Goudard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Dimitri Goudard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Madrid de Guatemala's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
