Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Papi Saron started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gizon Alaiza to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Asier got free with Guillen Mijangos in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillen Mijangos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mariano Peyo. 14 minutes into the match, Gaspar Sabin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guillen Mijangos, 1-0. Guillen Mijangos was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Martin Asier capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martin Asier really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Aureliano Obeko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Papi Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vidal Cantabrana's late challenge caught a Leones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vidal Cantabrana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidal Cantabrana to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Asier came free, but Guillen Mijangos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Asier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Guillen Mijangos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Papi Saron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gaspar Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Asier to make the kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Papi Saron from a close distance when the talented Aureliano Obeko managed to make a qualified save. Leones FC's players were relieved. Gaspar Sabin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillen Mijangos having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Martin Asier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Universitario getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gizon Alaiza hit a great ball. Guillen Mijangos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Ekialde Viedes got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Martin Asier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillen Mijangos was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Mariano Peyo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guillen Mijangos. Universitario's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Martin Asier put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Guillen Mijangos. Guillen Mijangos came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Leones FC's Martin Asier. But to his dismay, Martin Asier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Gaspar Sabin struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Guillen Mijangos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. Ciro Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Leones FC were the better team. Leones FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
