Universitario were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Alvarado de Mar del Plata's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ekialde Viedes took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Vidal Cantabrana heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Guillen Mijangos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Lluc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Isidoro Marcones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-2. Guillen Mijangos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
