The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to CANTERANOS DMS getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. After having played for 13 minutes, Natalio Refugio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gastres FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Refugio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 played minutes CANTERANOS DMS got a freekick which was hit by Bone Vielva. In the 25th minute Federico Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Ocariz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonides Ocariz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Leocadio in the 26th minute of the match. Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Uggstedt in the 36th minute of play. Virgilio Txilar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tin Santamaria showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. Virgilio Txilar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pål Uggstedt went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Uggstedt in the 46th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Erramun to strike the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Uggstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erick Inclan came free, but Virgilio Txilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Txilar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd match minute, Gastres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Oto to maneuver through the defense. If Angel Piñera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virgilio Txilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Uggstedt in the 87th minute of play.
