Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Süruri Şanalp took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Santana came free, but Alkis Kalaboukas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alkis Kalaboukas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Santana in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, one of Santa Maradona:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santa Maradona. After 11 minutes Santa Maradona's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kasper Elssen who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Eutichios Keskembes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nikos Tatsis kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Tor Rosenlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Lazarakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Santana got free with Alkis Kalaboukas in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Petros Rafailidis. In the 25th minute Octavio Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkis Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Vassilis Lazarakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Rosenlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alkis Kalaboukas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Txurio in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Vassilis Lazarakis made a precise shot to the right of Tor Rosenlund. Santa Maradona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Kasper Elssen fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEK ARMY's protests and gave Kasper Elssen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Elssen to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Cecilio Ubarna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alkis Kalaboukas, 1-1. In the 42nd minute Vassilis Lazarakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Rosenlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sofoklis Kolomitrousis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Stamatis Zindros hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Zindros. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Santana made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Herminio Birila threw the ball into play from the sideline. GREEK ARMY's Stamatis Zindros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Süruri Şanalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tor Rosenlund was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the game, Santa Maradona's Luis Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alkis Kalaboukas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a little luck, Santa Maradona's Tor Rosenlund got control of the ball when Süruri Şanalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alkis Kalaboukas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octavio Txurio went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Alkis Kalaboukas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Ubarna in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as GREEK ARMY's Süruri Şanalp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tor Rosenlund. That made the score 3-2 after 72 minutes of play. In the 78th minute Octavio Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkis Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GREEK ARMY's Alkis Kalaboukas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Ubarna in the 79th minute of play. Alkis Kalaboukas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Txurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Stamatis Zindros hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cecilio Ubarna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alkis Kalaboukas came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Maradona's Octavio Txurio. But to his dismay, Octavio Txurio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 88 minutes into the match, Octavio Txurio notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of GREEK ARMY's Alkis Kalaboukas. Alkis Kalaboukas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alkis Kalaboukas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 minutes, Cecilio Ubarna made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. GREEK ARMY's Alkis Kalaboukas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Santa Maradona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
