Spectators: 7565 (Terracing: 5675, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Hans Törnblom made the kick off and thus started the match. Charles Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Duško Turnšek sped through AC Superstar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charles Johansson. Charles Johansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duško Turnšek went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Charles Johansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatko Goričan in the 12th minute of play. If Duško Turnšek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Johansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duško Turnšek's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Charles Johansson came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by HIT Gorica's Duško Turnšek. But to his dismay, Duško Turnšek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. It was a well-played corner which CJ Desailly managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 29th minute, Roland Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard and well directed shot from László Tar led 30 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. AC Superstar's Charles Johansson became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-4. After having played for 35 minutes, Duško Turnšek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HIT Gorica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duško Turnšek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Zlatko Goričan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38th play minutes Duško Turnšek shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Charles Johansson and just under the crossbar into goal. AC Superstar's Charles Johansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duško Turnšek in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Duško Turnšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Johansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AC Superstar booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvard Åkesson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half HIT Gorica were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Harry Hernström fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Superstar's protests and gave Harry Hernström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AC Superstar getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Harry Hernström hit a great ball. Charles Johansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duško Turnšek in the 51st minute. Duško Turnšek in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Charles Johansson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Duško Turnšek let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 53rd minute shot 0-6 at rihgt post. Antoni Zdrojewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jernej Petrovič hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to AC Superstar getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Harry Hernström hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Istok Šabotić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Johansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Istok Šabotić took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Johansson. Charles Johansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. HIT Gorica's Richard Koštomaj was substituted for Jernej Petrovič. HIT Gorica's Antoni Zdrojewski got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charles Johansson was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Istok Šabotić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Istok Šabotić really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Konstantin Pančur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Ström in the 81st minute of the match. Charles Johansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Istok Šabotić, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Zlatko Goričan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of HIT Gorica booed when AC Superstar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Browald didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Zlatko Goričan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When HIT Gorica's Istok Šabotić in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Superstar's goalie prevented a goal.
