Joel Umea made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Vassilis Lazarakis sent off a good shot on target. Joel Umea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vassilis Lazarakis went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute, Soni Féron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alkis Kalaboukas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ian Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alkis Kalaboukas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 20 minutes Leon Sport Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kasper Elssen who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on GREEK ARMY's corner Kasper Elssen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joel Umea quite easily take care of the ball. In the 24th minute, Vassilis Lazarakis made a precise shot to the right of Joel Umea. Leon Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eutichios Keskembes hit a great ball. Alkis Kalaboukas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Joel Umea was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Süruri Şanalp capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Süruri Şanalp really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Raí Botelho struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Alkis Kalaboukas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leon Sport Club. In the 40th minute Dagoberto Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkis Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Umea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Süruri Şanalp in the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
In the 53rd minute of the match GREEK ARMY got a corner. Leon Sport Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kasper Elssen ran over to the corner to take the kick. GREEK ARMY's Kasper Elssen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joel Umea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Lazarakis in the 57th minute of play forced Leon Sport Club's goalkeeper Joel Umea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stamatis Zindros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Raí Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alkis Kalaboukas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ian Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GREEK ARMY were furious when Ksawery Gall was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GREEK ARMY! The goalkeeper, Alkis Kalaboukas, was totally fooled by Leon Sport Club's Dagoberto Severo, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 75 minutes in the game, Caco Guerra fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alkis Kalaboukas having to interfere. With a little luck, GREEK ARMY's Alkis Kalaboukas got control of the ball when Raí Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Leon Sport Club's Caco Guerra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. 82 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Bon Culot came free, but Joel Umea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raí Botelho got free with Alkis Kalaboukas in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Süruri Şanalp fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEK ARMY's protests and gave Süruri Şanalp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Süruri Şanalp to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Sofoklis Kolomitrousis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, Leon Sport Club failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
