Spectators: 7540 (Terracing: 5656, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luis Santana kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Cecilio Ubarna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodolfo Quirino. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arturo Abaurre hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Santana got free with Rodolfo Quirino in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ciriaco Rencio fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Maradona's protests and gave Ciriaco Rencio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Rencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Quirino having to interfere. Rodolfo Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Ubarna, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Luis Santana hit a great ball. Santa Maradona's Tor Rosenlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Matorin in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match Caatiba MZC got a corner. Santa Maradona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dinei Moraes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Caatiba MZC's Dinei Moraes to fire away a dangerous shot which Tor Rosenlund despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rodolfo Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Santana went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Caatiba MZC's Benedito Domingues got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Luis Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santa Maradona's Ciriaco Rencio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Cecilio Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Maradona's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Ubarna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Ubarna in the 58th minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Ubarna in the 67th minute of play. Rodolfo Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cecilio Ubarna went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 74th match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Santana to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Moraes. In the 82nd minute Luis Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Cecilio Ubarna notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Caatiba MZC's Rodolfo Quirino. Rodolfo Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Santana to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Santana came free, but Rodolfo Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
