Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) 7 minutes into the match, Augustin Horea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gigi Buffon, 1-0. Gigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Horea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tytus Dudek in the 16th minute of play. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Dudek in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ajax's Remigiusz Galaska got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Augustin Horea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Alupulesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Nicu Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigiusz Galaska in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Tytus Dudek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nicu Arghirescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Cerocki in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Wieslaw Cerocki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Horea made a kick off. Augustin Horea kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Augustin Horea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigi Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Horea in the 55th minute of play forced Ajax's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigiusz Galaska didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Hulubei in the 58th minute of the match. Jacek Kieca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nicu Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Horea in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Ajax's Remigiusz Galaska ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicu Arghirescu. Nicu Arghirescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Liviu Alupulesei's late challenge caught a Ajax's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Alupulesei helped the player get up and apologised. Liviu Alupulesei kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustin Horea in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Buffon saved Ajax from getting behind. Wojciech Mietus was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ajax's Wojciech Mietus got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute Ştefan Alupulesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Hulubei came free, but Gigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigi Buffon came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportiv Medgidia's Ştefan Alupulesei. But to his dismay, Ştefan Alupulesei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. If Ştefan Alupulesei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Sportiv Medgidia had won after a very even match.
