Allan de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inter de Melão's Allan de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Melão from getting a goal against them. Agostinho Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan de Almeida having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Inter de Melão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Allan de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agostinho Moreno succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 45th playminute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Amorim to make the kick off.
