Leandro Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Johans's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Allan de Almeida skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jardel Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Pirro having to interfere. Flavio Pirro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Melão. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Vargas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavio Pirro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Farias, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Inter de Melão's Adhemar Oliveira got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ernesto Johans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciro Amorim's late challenge caught a Brown Puerto Madryn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Flavio Pirro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Cunha's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Novaes in the 72nd minute of play forced Brown Puerto Madryn's goalkeeper Flavio Pirro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Pirro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match was over Inter de Melão could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brown Puerto Madryn throughout the match.
