An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Mastantuono in the 16th minute of play forced Schuster's goalkeeper Emiliano Costanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Orlandi. When Clodoveo Aresti came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Invisible fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Aresti couldn't finish the play. After the first half Invisible were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Invisible's Clodoveo Aresti got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Schuster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Invisible the free kick. A collision led to Schuster getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Damiano Capaldo hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Invisible eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
