The audience was convinced that Teodor Lucaci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 严益竞 was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Costică Josan kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 严益竞 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakan Şükür in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Costică Josan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Politehnica Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Josan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 严益竞 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Costică Josan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 严益竞 made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Hakan Şükür sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of 大汉•钓鱼岛 booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Ghimpu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 严益竞 came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Politehnica Timisoara's Hakan Şükür. But to his dismay, Hakan Şükür quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 马辉桦 charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 马辉桦 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Costică Josan from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got 严益竞's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Teodor Lucaci put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of 严益竞. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind 大汉•钓鱼岛's goalkeeper 严益竞, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 严益竞 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakan Şükür went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After 46 minutes of play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Teodor Lucaci made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 严益竞 was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

Sever Ghimpu took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 严益竞. 严益竞 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. 大汉•钓鱼岛's 严益竞 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sever Ghimpu in the 93rd minute of play. FC Politehnica Timisoara walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
