Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Björn Lövskog started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Emanuel Strugure ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pål Håkansson. Pål Håkansson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Hockeysnubbarnas BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Eliasson to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Pål Håkansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Josan. Claudiu Azamfirei scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pål Håkansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lucrețiu Manolache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Costică Josan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Claudiu Azamfirei scored to the left of an out of position Pål Håkansson, making the score, 3-0. 29 minutes into the match, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Pål Håkansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Josan. Moise Antoniu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Antoniu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Strugure got free with Pål Håkansson in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Strugure received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pål Håkansson came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuel Strugure slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

FC Politehnica Timisoara's Emanuel Strugure got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Pål Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Strugure in the 53rd minute of play. Pål Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Strugure in the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wictor Holmgren during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute Emanuel Strugure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hockeysnubbarnas BK booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Manolache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Strugure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Pål Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pål Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Strugure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Lucrețiu Manolache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pål Håkansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Josan in the 73rd minute of play forced Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Pål Håkansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Emanuel Strugure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Strugure's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pål Håkansson was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 82 minutes Hockeysnubbarnas BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luca Voiculescu who took care of the corner kick. Nichifor Borogeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Pål Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Josan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pål Håkansson came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Politehnica Timisoara's Emanuel Strugure. But to his dismay, Emanuel Strugure quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hockeysnubbarnas BK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Politehnica Timisoara.
