Spectators: 7488 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Pål Håkansson came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Politehnica Timisoara's Emanuel Strugure. But to his dismay, Emanuel Strugure quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 7 minutes, Eric Udup managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Politehnica Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Udup was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Cosmin Aluchei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Udup in the 17th minute of play forced Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Pål Håkansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Hockeysnubbarnas BK were awarded a corner. Björn Lövskog went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Björn Lövskog to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiberiu Mischie despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Udup came free, but Pål Håkansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Aristide Hălmăgeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Jakobsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Tiberiu Mischie made a huge save. Pål Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Hălmăgeanu in the 29th minute of the match. Pål Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmin Aluchei in the 34th minute of play. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Pål Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Chiriac in the 37th minute of play. Pål Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Strugure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Eric Udup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Emanuel Strugure notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Pål Håkansson. Pål Håkansson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pål Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Hălmăgeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 71st minute Emanuel Strugure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Pål Håkansson threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emanuel Strugure, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 79 minutes, Tony Nordgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hockeysnubbarnas BK and the FC Politehnica Timisoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Politehnica Timisoara booed when Hockeysnubbarnas BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Nordgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pål Håkansson made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Cosmin Aluchei sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the match, Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalkeeper Pål Håkansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristide Hălmăgeanu. Tiberiu Mischie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Lövskog in the 93rd minute of play. After 95 played minutes Hockeysnubbarnas BK got a freekick which was hit by Dag Bagge. FC Politehnica Timisoara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
