The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Fábio Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joop van der Schaaf in the 3rd minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Leonidas came free, but Pieter Beuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ab Berends fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's protests and gave Ab Berends a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Ab Berends. Luís Fábio Silveira was a little too slow when Gerard Boschker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 31st match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Szegh to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Adalbert Oblakov had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Carneiro during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Govert Kool was substituted for Adalbert Oblakov. In the 34th minute, Chico Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fábio Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joop van der Schaaf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flamengo FSCMZ's Luís Fábio Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Govert Kool in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Niels Borker. Flamengo FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquiles Leonidas took the corner. 47 minutes into the game, Govert Kool recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Fábio Silveira. Govert Kool showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Govert Kool made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Niels Borker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fábio Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. When Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Govert Kool in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Govert Kool's late challenge caught a Flamengo FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Govert Kool helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Govert Kool to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joop van der Schaaf in the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joost Ottenhof didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Leonidas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Pieter Beuk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo FSCMZ. A collision led to Flamengo FSCMZ getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Franklin das Neves hit a great ball. Luís Fábio Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joop van der Schaaf struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Luís Fábio Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
