Luís Fábio Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Sarmento in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Aquiles Leonidas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. Real Cruzeiro FC's Belmiro Urbano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Fábio Silveira but with some difficulty. Flamengo FSCMZ's Luís Fábio Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Salles in the 10th minute of play. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Leonidas in the 12th minute of play. Ivo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Aquiles Leonidas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ivo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Leonidas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Ronaldo Vianna got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes, Flamengo FSCMZ's Aquiles Leonidas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivo Amaral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flamengo FSCMZ reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Leão in the 26th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Celso Nascimento notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Nascimento in the 32nd minute of play. Júnior Salles hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Celso Nascimento scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo FSCMZ the free kick. Luís Guilherme Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Celso Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivo Amaral came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo FSCMZ's Aquiles Leonidas. But to his dismay, Aquiles Leonidas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 47th minute, Carlos Rezende left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquiles Leonidas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Aquiles Leonidas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Luís Guilherme Cabral got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ivo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Celso Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Belmiro Monteiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Ivo Amaral however easily saved by the left post. Chico Carneiro succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-9. In the 75th minute, Aquiles Leonidas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivo Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Ivo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Carlos Rezende sent off a good shot on target. Ivo Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Luiz Teles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 79 minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Flamengo FSCMZ's Celso Nascimento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Rezende in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Carlos Rezende reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivo Amaral. The goal made the score 0-13. 93 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquiles Leonidas. Ronaldo Vianna hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the match was over Flamengo FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Cruzeiro FC throughout the match.
