In the 3rd minute, one of Nautilus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nautilus. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Julias Rascals Apeldoorn. Joost Ottenhof stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gil de Medeiros. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Adalbert Oblakov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gil de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joop van der Schaaf, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Adalbert Oblakov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil de Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Nautilus's Gil de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Boschker in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Adalbert Oblakov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalbert Oblakov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nautilus's Gil de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalbert Oblakov in the 22nd minute of play. The referee showed Adalbert Oblakov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adalbert Oblakov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil de Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Urbano to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Dudu Neiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pieter Beuk. Dudu Neiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 45th minute Joop van der Schaaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalbert Oblakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Adalbert Oblakov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.
When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Adalbert Oblakov sped through Nautilus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil de Medeiros. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Christian Urbano took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Gil de Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. 60 minutes into the game, Joop van der Schaaf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Gil de Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gerard Boschker hit a great ball. Joop van der Schaaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalbert Oblakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil de Medeiros having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Adalbert Oblakov made a precise shot to the right of Gil de Medeiros. Nautilus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-9. Thanks to some nice moves Adalbert Oblakov could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Gil de Medeiros however easily saved by the left post. After 81 minutes, Richard Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nautilus and the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Nautilus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Joop van der Schaaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nautilus's zone, Joop van der Schaaf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil de Medeiros came out of the goal and Joop van der Schaaf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Nautilus's Gil de Medeiros got control of the ball when Adalbert Oblakov tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Adalbert Oblakov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalbert Oblakov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
