Tião Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tião Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Faustino Erasto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF the free kick. Faustino Erasto hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Nicasio Sendoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Francisco Xavier in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Adolfo Bastiaro got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF's João Francisco Xavier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicasio Sendoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalkeeper Nicasio Sendoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Xavier. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Sousa during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Sousa. In the 19th minute, Álvaro Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dé Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Álvaro Sousa hit a great ball. Sandro Soares came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Aquilino Rey. But to his dismay, Aquilino Rey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 37 minutes, Adolfo Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Bastiaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Matías Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Francisco Xavier got free with Nicasio Sendoa in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicasio Sendoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Francisco Xavier in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldemar Rodrigues during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Paul kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. João Francisco Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Sendoa having to interfere. DeportivoIndependienteMDP played a much better game than Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF and deserved their victory. The Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
