Nikola Tesla started the match with the kick off. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mladen Bokić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute, He Yuan Yong reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vitor José. The goal made the score 1-1. Dušan Košutić kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Carlos Alberto Viana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mladen Bokić was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Dušan Košutić came free, but Vitor José reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Nikola Tesla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vitor José. Nikola Tesla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Vitor José made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bojan Lopičić in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Viana made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s Nikola Tesla got a free kick in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Tesla in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitor José prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Nikola Tesla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor José saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikola Tesla got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Vitor José handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Milutin Mančić fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™'s protests and gave Milutin Mančić a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™ getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Milutin Mančić hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Nikola Tesla put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vitor José. After 75 minutes, Iuri Paranaense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul and the Radnicki 1923 Kg-Stars™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. 77 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when He Yuan Yong came free, but Vitor José reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Rade Ivančević sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José didn't even have to move. In the 84th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Mello to maneuver through the defense.
