Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Tomás Bertran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oscar Acevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Acevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 9 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Benicio Jaen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Bertran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Benicio Jaen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Bertran. Devoto club social's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Jaen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tomás Bertran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Devoto club social booed when Leon Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Tabor didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Tauro in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Abad saved Leon Platense from getting behind. Tomás Bertran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Jaen in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Fermin Tauro got a free kick in the 24th minute. Tomás Bertran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benito Ixona in the 25th minute. Tomás Bertran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Bertran made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Benito Ixona sent off a good shot on target. Roberto Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Acevedo in the 30th minute of play. Benicio Jaen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 34th playminute. In the 38th minute Generoso Gomesano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Platense's Jeremias Regis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomás Bertran. That made the score 4-0 after 42 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Generoso Gomesano took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Tomás Bertran to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Fermin Tauro made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Mart Palermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Bertran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Jaen in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Leon Platense getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Camilo Tabor hit a great ball. Roberto Abad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Tauro in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Devoto club social got a corner. Leon Platense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Henrico ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomás Bertran came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Leon Platense's Generoso Gomesano. But to his dismay, Generoso Gomesano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 66th minute Benicio Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Bertran came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Leon Platense's Benicio Jaen. But to his dismay, Benicio Jaen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Tomás Bertran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Regis in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Benito Ixona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Bertran. Devoto club social's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benito Ixona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Devoto club social's Tomás Bertran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Ixona in the 79th minute of play. Benicio Jaen scored 9-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Bertran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomás Bertran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Ixona, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Devoto club social defense, Jeremias Regis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Bertran. The Devoto club social fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Bertran should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Benicio Jaen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Bertran. Devoto club social's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Jaen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Roberto Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Henrico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Leon Platense had played much better football throughout.
