Evandro Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseu Braga to make the kick off. Evandro Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Fazekas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseu Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ábel Barta made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Robinho Gerber got a free kick in the 87th minute. György Király took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evandro Lara. Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Hungarian Olympic supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marquês de Herval's performance. The match ended with a win for Marquês de Herval.
