Malmö White Knights's Staffan Wallin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Afiq Hongyi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42nd minute Johan Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afiq Hongyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Malmö White Knights's Johan Hedlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afiq Hongyi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Gummeson to make the kick off. Alexander Tan struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's much stronger midfield.
