Spectators: 7411 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 70) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Severino Borges took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Ceferino Miro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Júnior Neiva. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 9th match minute, C.A.Esparta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Senon to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to C.A.Esparta getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Adolfo Silbestre hit a great ball. Anísio Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gilberto Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Túlio Souza came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the XV de Indaial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Souza couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Silbestre came free, but Júnior Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Lino Arnau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 minutes, Carolo Solustiano made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. XV de Indaial's Júnior Neiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of C.A.Esparta booed when XV de Indaial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Ceferino Miro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júnior Neiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Túlio Souza came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the XV de Indaial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Souza couldn't finish the play. XV de Indaial's Júnior Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Silbestre in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Ceferino Miro notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of XV de Indaial's Júnior Neiva. Júnior Neiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Silbestre made a kick off. Júnior Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Solustiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Júnior Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Miro in the 54th minute of the match. If Ramiro Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Solustiano came free, but Júnior Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júnior Neiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Miro went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Carolo Solustiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Túlio Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilberto Nofre. The goal made the score 5-1. After 74 minutes of play, C.A.Esparta's Adolfo Silbestre made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júnior Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carolo Solustiano scored 7-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júnior Neiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th match minute, C.A.Esparta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Aimar to maneuver through the defense. Ceferino Miro took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júnior Neiva. Júnior Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. In the 93rd match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Brasil to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C.A.Esparta had played much better football throughout.
