Helmut Berrisch started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Kalle Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Schulz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sven-Christian Ulrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugiwara FC's Bernt Kinnman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Mugiwara FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Christian Ulrich got free with Bernt Kinnman in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Mugiwara FC's Joakim Allbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Schulz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mugiwara FC's Bernt Kinnman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Mugiwara FC from getting a goal against them. Herbert Schröder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Bernt Kinnman made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Kalle Josefsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Hollywood's Jan Schulz. Jan Schulz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernt Kinnman made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Sebastian Luchtenberg sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Schröder got free with Bernt Kinnman in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Joakim Allbom got free with Jan Schulz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, FC Hollywood's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Strömbom came free, but Jan Schulz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leonard Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mugiwara FC booed when FC Hollywood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horst-Peter Bernhard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kalle Josefsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Schulz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Bernt Kinnman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helmut Berrisch in the 73rd minute of play. Leonard Strömbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Schulz having to interfere. If Joakim Allbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Mugiwara FC's Kalle Josefsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Schulz. That made the score 1-2 after 83 minutes of play. After 88 played minutes FC Hollywood got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Welser. Norman Jagusch walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The Mugiwara FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mugiwara FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
