After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Astor Sobrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. CERRO PORTEÑO's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Sobrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heli Hontoria scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giraldo Laiseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Moura in the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the CERRO PORTEÑO defense, Rodrigo Nestor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giraldo Laiseca. The CERRO PORTEÑO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giraldo Laiseca should have stopped the shot. Remo Amaral came out of the goal and Guillelme Andujar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kauan Pires was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 30 played minutes ✪ XV de Umarizal got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Pires. After 33 played minutes, ✪ XV de Umarizal's Rodrigo Nestor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giraldo Laiseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ✪ XV de Umarizal reached it. In the 35th minute ✪ XV de Umarizal were awarded a corner. Rodrigo Nestor went to the cornerflag to take it. ✪ XV de Umarizal's Jeferson Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Perpinya Nevares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurgain Hompanera during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Laurgain Hompanera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lorencio Gobantes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Giraldo Laiseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. CERRO PORTEÑO were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after ✪ XV de Umarizal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vermudo Capetillo took the corner. The corner led CERRO PORTEÑO's Vermudo Capetillo to fire away a dangerous shot which Remo Amaral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillelme Andujar in the 91st minute of play forced ✪ XV de Umarizal's goalkeeper Remo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Astor Sobrido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remo Amaral. ✪ XV de Umarizal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Astor Sobrido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the ✪ XV de Umarizal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CERRO PORTEÑO.
