With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Popolizio in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan da Fonseca saved CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting behind. Clemente Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Aldo Popolizio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan da Fonseca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Deportivo Popolizio FBC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lonzo Corullon in the 53rd minute. The corner led Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Lonzo Corullon to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan da Fonseca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 62nd minute Lonzo Corullon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Simamane LuaLua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Jonas Muñana replaced Txindoki Azcarate.
