In the 6th minute, Gilesindo Colombres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Udalaitz Vinuesa hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Aldo Popolizio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Giraldo Laiseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Popolizio went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Giraldo Laiseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Popolizio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Astor Sobrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artizar Melic having to interfere. Lonzo Corullon scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giraldo Laiseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Artizar Melic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Sobrido in the 47th minute of play. The CERRO PORTEÑO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Popolizio FBC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Astor Sobrido to make the kick off. Astor Sobrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giraldo Laiseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Popolizio in the 54th minute. When Astor Sobrido came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the CERRO PORTEÑO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Sobrido couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Deportivo Popolizio FBC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Quintan Ontavilla hit a great ball. Giraldo Laiseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lonzo Corullon in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lonzo Corullon got free with Giraldo Laiseca in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilesindo Colombres to maneuver through the defense. Giraldo Laiseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Popolizio in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Popolizio in the 72nd minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Giraldo Laiseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Giraldo Laiseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lonzo Corullon. With 74 minutes on the clock, Gilesindo Colombres commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 81st minute of the match Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a corner. CERRO PORTEÑO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lonzo Corullon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vermudo Capetillo lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to CERRO PORTEÑO getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Vermudo Capetillo hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Lonzo Corullon broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
