When Fabio Cirelli came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the AC Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Cirelli couldn't finish the play. In the 13thth minute of the game Romeo Ţăranu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Roma's Anselmo Cirulli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar Sabău kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, AC Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Ţăranu came free, but Anselmo Cirulli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Ţăranu might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Cirulli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Ţăranu ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgar Sabău blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Cirulli having to make a save. Anselmo Cirulli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Ţăranu in the 27th minute of play. Tiberiu Udrescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Barresi's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Tiberiu Udrescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When FC U Cluj-N's Edgar Sabău in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Roma's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Ţăranu made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Aurelio Barresi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Sabău struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Anselmo Cirulli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC U Cluj-N. The audience was convinced that Romeo Ţăranu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Cirulli was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeo Ţăranu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AC Roma were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC U Cluj-N for a fine match.
