Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5593, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) FC U Cluj-N's Romeo Ţăranu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. INTER Sosnowiec's Kazimierz Gardocki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save INTER Sosnowiec from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the game, Klement Okraszewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTER Sosnowiec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC U Cluj-N the free kick. In the 13th match minute, INTER Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klement Okraszewski to maneuver through the defense. Tomasz Pietrowiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Udrescu having to interfere. In the 18th minute, FC U Cluj-N's Edgar Sabău ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kazimierz Gardocki. Kazimierz Gardocki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rafal Cempa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Pietrowiak in the 27th minute of play forced FC U Cluj-N's goalkeeper Tiberiu Udrescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Sabău kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot INTER Sosnowiec's keeper Kazimierz Gardocki was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The supporters of FC U Cluj-N booed when INTER Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Pietrowiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Ţăranu in the 31st minute of play forced INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Kazimierz Gardocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, FC U Cluj-N was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Ţurlău to maneuver through the defense. Tiberiu Udrescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kajetan Dlugi in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, INTER Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyprian Brytka to maneuver through the defense. Kazimierz Gardocki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Sabău in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kajetan Dlugi made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Alex Buculeasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC U Cluj-N's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Buculeasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 52nd match minute, INTER Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacek Majkowski to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FC U Cluj-N's Ion Ţurlău got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alex Buculeasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC U Cluj-N's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Buculeasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kazimierz Gardocki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC U Cluj-N's Placido Santxol got a free kick in the 59th minute. Edgar Sabău took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kazimierz Gardocki. Kazimierz Gardocki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, INTER Sosnowiec's Cyprian Brytka got a free kick in the 66th minute. 4-0 became the score in the 67th minute when Romeo Ţăranu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, INTER Sosnowiec's Kajetan Dlugi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiberiu Udrescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeo Ţăranu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kazimierz Gardocki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiberiu Udrescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafal Cempa, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The supporters of FC U Cluj-N booed when INTER Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafal Cempa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeo Ţăranu scored 6-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kazimierz Gardocki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kazimierz Gardocki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeo Ţăranu went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score.
