Emilio Di Fazio hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Alfonso Buffone charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Res Non Verba booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Orlandi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Agudiez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Anselmo Cirulli made a huge save. After 43 minutes AC Roma's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adalberto Salazar who took care of the corner kick. In the 43rd minute, Urtsin Valgoma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match Adalberto Salazar climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Anselmo Cirulli. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martino Maeda to make the kick off. Anselmo Cirulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Salazar in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Donato Capuozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iaki Santiuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Agudiez in the 60th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Anselmo Cirulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Roma's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After 65 played minutes Res Non Verba got a freekick which was hit by Iaki Santiuste. A collision led to AC Roma getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Angelo Marcelli hit a great ball. After some careless play in the AC Roma defense, Adalberto Salazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmo Cirulli. The AC Roma fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anselmo Cirulli should have stopped the shot. Anselmo Cirulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martino Maeda in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Martino Maeda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adalberto Salazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Cirulli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Azeari Reganado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Barresi in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Emanuel Sarri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iaki Santiuste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Cirulli having to interfere. In the 98th minute Narciso Agudiez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Cirulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
