Rareș Papadima took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiberiu Udrescu. Tiberiu Udrescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 8 minutes, Calistrat Mihalcea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unicorns ™ and the FC U Cluj-N players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiberiu Udrescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Papadima, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Siniştean to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Niculae Caragea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC U Cluj-N's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niculae Caragea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute FC U Cluj-N were awarded a corner. Placido Santxol went to the cornerflag to take it. Niculae Caragea kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niculae Caragea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Rareș Papadima notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC U Cluj-N's Tiberiu Udrescu. Tiberiu Udrescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Ţăranu to make the kick off. Tiberiu Udrescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Papadima in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Alex Buculeasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Udrescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Papadima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Ţăranu in the 67th minute of play. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Ţăranu in the 69th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, FC U Cluj-N was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Buculeasa to maneuver through the defense. Tiberiu Udrescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aurel Huștiu. In the 79th minute, Romeo Ţăranu made a precise shot to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. Unicorns ™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 82 minutes into the match, FC U Cluj-N's goalkeeper Tiberiu Udrescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tudor Bodea. Petrică Ţirpescu kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Romeo Ţăranu made a precise shot to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. Unicorns ™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The Unicorns ™ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Unicorns ™ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
