Spectators: 7646 (Terracing: 5736, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) ROJO's Aldo Kaxen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Di Maria in the 2nd minute of play. Aldo Kaxen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angel Di Maria in the 6th minute. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Benigno Eriz hit a great ball. ROJO's Aldo Kaxen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save ROJO from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos-Alberto Rojo to maneuver through the defense. Fausto George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Dimo in the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, ROJO's Aldo Kaxen got control of the ball when Angel Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute Mauro Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Kaxen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ROJO's Aldo Kaxen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save ROJO from getting a goal against them. Angel Di Maria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aldo Kaxen came out and tried to block the shot, but Angel Di Maria slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. Angel Di Maria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Aldo Kaxen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Bernardo Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Dimo made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Eriz in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Kaxen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Eriz in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Kaxen saved ROJO from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Benigno Eriz got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th match minute, ROJO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Panpili to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Kaxen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Di Maria, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Aldo Kaxen came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Angel Di Maria. But to his dismay, Angel Di Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 64th minute Benigno Eriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Kaxen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Dimo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting de Gijón's Omar Etor was substituted for Bonifacio Oliverio. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Omar Etor hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Angel Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Kaxen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, ROJO's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Di Maria came free, but Aldo Kaxen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sporting de Gijón's Angel Di Maria in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ROJO's goalie prevented a goal. After 89 minutes, Angel Di Maria made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. ROJO's Aldo Kaxen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Bertin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
