After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Patoruzu's zone, Fabian Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldo Hills came out of the goal and Fabian Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waldo Hills made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesus Peli in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, Atletico Patoruzu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pedro in the 22nd minute of play forced Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper Vicente Baristo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Baristo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Pedro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Javier Rodriguez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Deportivo David Mardel's Vicente Baristo. Javier Rodriguez took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Baristo. Felix Plummer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Vicente Baristo made a huge save.
