The audience was convinced that Jason Douglas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hıdır Sirri was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Pedro Pedros short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Hıdır Sirri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute, Javier Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yeşim Topcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. If Abdulaziz Olgunay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
