Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ralf Talsma got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Mauro Llanez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes. Jan-Joost Smeekes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Llanez in the 12th minute of play. Jan-Joost Smeekes came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Carpasús FC - FDC's Mauro Llanez. But to his dismay, Mauro Llanez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Llanez in the 20th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Llanez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Vidal Coya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mauro Llanez came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Carpasús FC - FDC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Llanez couldn't finish the play. Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Llanez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harm Meinders to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Llanez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stef Pragt charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stef Pragt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Stef Pragt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilco Owusu Abeyie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carpasús FC - FDC's Loreto Monedero managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Floris Stühling in the 57 minute of the game. After 61 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Carsten Klaasens. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. Carpasús FC - FDC's Baumar Atencio got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Carpasús FC - FDC booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stef Pragt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Llanez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Smeekes made a huge save. Jan-Joost Smeekes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gero Urrea in the 72nd minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Mauro Llanez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpasús FC - FDC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Llanez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Coya in the 75th minute of play. The throw-in from Floris Stühling in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Carpasús FC - FDC's Loreto Monedero. Mauro Llanez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Smeekes made a huge save. Jan-Joost Smeekes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Llanez in the 91st minute. Carpasús FC - FDC played a much better game than Seagulls and deserved their victory. The Seagulls players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
