Spectators: 7471 (Terracing: 5604, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) After a defensive mix-up in Remedios SC's zone, Hector Napier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean dos Santos came out of the goal and Hector Napier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Bordat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Bordat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wincent Wawro went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Abel Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chivu Quintana in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Jonathan Oroitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Danilo Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Bordat. BFC 1982's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danilo Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Abel Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Pinho in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by BFC 1982's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Horácio Maciel was slow to take the kick. During this time Remedios SC's players had a chance to rest. Remedios SC's Aloísio Bastos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abel Bordat in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Chivu Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wincent Wawro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Bordat having to make a save. BFC 1982's Abel Bordat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chivu Quintana in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Wawro in the 43rd minute of play forced BFC 1982's goalkeeper Abel Bordat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After having played for 60 minutes, Chivu Quintana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Remedios SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chivu Quintana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, BFC 1982's Hugo Larra got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute, Wincent Wawro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Napier came free, but Jean dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Remedios SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
