Abel Bordat made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when 柳振震 sent off a good shot on target. After 36 played minutes 拜耳04勒沃库森 got a freekick which was hit by 白然骏. 冰谷 姚明 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Napier in the 43rd minute of the match. Hector Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 冰谷 姚明 having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when 周烽宁 made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to BFC 1982 getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Elvio Bastian hit a great ball. When 白然骏 fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 拜耳04勒沃库森's protests and gave 白然骏 a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes 拜耳04勒沃库森 got a freekick which was hit by 白然骏. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocencio Corderall got free with 冰谷 姚明 in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inocencio Corderall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 冰谷 姚明 having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Hector Napier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 冰谷 姚明. The goal made the score 4-1. 73 minutes into the match, BFC 1982's goal looked a bit too open when 周烽宁 came free, but Abel Bordat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
