To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, América Magics Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Sengrat came free, but Will Goldthorpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epifanio Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Jon in the 44th minute of play. Will Goldthorpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Sengrat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Sengrat to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Eduardo Jon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Epifanio Orzaize.
