The supporters of Los kyes booed when Sportivo Constitución was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikiforos Iakovatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sportivo Constitución's Gaspar Libertad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Gutierrez in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Turi in the 26th minute of play forced Los kyes's goalkeeper Bertin Ramiréz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertin Ramiréz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikiforos Iakovatos in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Alavedra came free, but Gaspar Libertad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikiforos Iakovatos to strike the kick off in the second half.
